I maintain a private practice in Manhattan, New York, providing both in-person and online therapy. I specialize in couples therapy and work with adults, children, and adolescents navigating emotional challenges and cultural complexities. Sessions are available in Arabic and English.

I am also the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging and a psychoanalytic supervisor at the Institute for Expressive Analysis, where I work to create more inclusive spaces in the field of psychoanalysis.

A Different Path to Therapy
Prior to my career in mental health, I spent fourteen years at the United Nations as a political affairs officer in the Department of Peace Operations. This experience profoundly shaped my compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to psychotherapy. Working with people from diverse backgrounds across the world taught me to listen deeply, navigate complex cultural dynamics, and understand the impact of displacement, conflict, and living between worlds.

Advocacy and Professional Affiliations

My dedication extends beyond clinical practice into mental health advocacy and education.

I co-founded the Palestine-Global Mental Health Network, where I remain an active steering committee member. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Gaza Mental Health Foundation and the Institute for Expressive Analysis.

I am involved with the American Psychological Association (APA), specifically Division 39, Section V: Applied Clinical Psychoanalysis. I previously served on the board of APA Division 39, Section IX: Psychoanalysis for Social Responsibility, where I advocated for using psychoanalytic perspectives to address social justice issues.
